It's been WAY too long since I blogged. I might actually start trying to catch up from the past year. I have some awesome biking and backpacking pictures to share, a story about a cactus to tell, and an entire trip to CHINA to tell everyone about. I even have some photoshoot pictures of one of my quilts. In the meantime, I'll share a little craft project I did last night.
I've been wanting a pair of yellow shoes and orange ones too. But I can't seem to find any that I like.
I was scanning through my craft blog universe and saw someone talking about painting some shoes they had that had gotten stained...
I decided to get some tester shoes and some yellow paint and try it out for myself.
The BEFORE. Shoes were $4 at DI...
The after...
I figured out how to clean up the soles, and I've worn them all day today! Now to find some awesome ones to turn ORANGE!

I got flowers from the family this afternoon and this wonderful autographed pic of Mr Korver from a friend... headed to St. George this weekend to test out my new bike!
And quick shout out to http://www.grooveshark.com/..... without you the week of solitude, as everyone in the office is in St. George ,would be unbearable.

Grandma Davis Quilt I copied.... not quite done yet
My grandma davis passed away when I was one. I only have her handiwork to remember her. Her quilts and crocheted doilies are pretty hard to come by. One of the quilts she made my parents has been on my sister's bed for as long as I can remember. It's tattered and falling apart. Her version is purple and made of many plaid and old shirts. This is my replica, made from Amy Butler scraps...
What i've been creating these days
It seems there are babies EVERYWHERE... just none for me :( to keep that nesting fever from taking over I've been creating things for friends. This little guy was inspired by the Moda Bakeshop and IKEA! I tried out some quilting on my machine using rolls of masking tape at various widths, and a yard stick. Abby Abby POOF.....
Project 2, 3, and 4... a baby room for the unborn daughter of Kurt and Brynell Thomas

My blog challenge!
Let's see if anyone even reads this blog. I recently discovered the Google reader. It helps me keep up with all my friends that blog. I decided to make a list of things I'm grateful for.
a) I had a rotten day/great night yesterday so that's something to be grateful for. and ABNER and I rocked the WVS last night! Whaoo!
b) I was excited to say my prayers last night, that hasn't happened in a LONG time!
c) I got some cooperation from a group of people at work today which was very very unexpected.
d) I love my family and friends.
e) I have the most ROCK tastic fabric stash! ;)
f) Tomorrow is furlogh day. That sucks $ wise, but I get a 4 day weekend that does not suck!
Happy day everyone.
